As a true cinephile, Randy Wooten is one of the early fans of the critically acclaimed film “Parasite.” While”Parasite” ushered a new era for Asian cinema, there are also many Korean films that movie fans will surely enjoy. Here are some of them.

Burning (2018)

From Haruki Murakami’s short story “Barn Burning,” this Lee Chang-dong psychological thriller follows deliveryman Jong-su and his friend Hae-mi who meets the rich and mysterious Ben. The film received the FIPRESCI International Critics’ Prize at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Like “Parasite,” viewers will be drawn to the layers of the narrative. True to Murakami and Lee’s styles, Randy Wooten shares that the story brings a sense of ambiguity and discomfort that will captivate the viewers even more.
